IOTA Observership Program
De (International) Orthopaedic Trauma Association heeft ook in 2025 weer een observership program opgezet. “The goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for orthopaedic trauma fellows who reside outside North America to increase the depth and breadth of clinical exposure to complex trauma patients and Level I/II Trauma Centers through 4-8 week observership programs.”. Het is een uitgelezen kans om een kijkje in de keuken te nemen van gerenommeerde instituten in USA, Canada en Spanje.
Zie hieronder de mail van IOTA en de procedure:
At this time, each country can submit up to two candidates for the program. Please ensure that the attached program overview has been reviewed thoroughly by your candidates and that the candidates are aware of the following requirements:
- Registration, airfare, food and housing costs are at the expense of the candidate fellow and/or IOTA Society. OTA and host institutions will not provide funding.
- Candidates must have completed their residency training program in order to participate. Residents are not eligible to participate in this program.
- The remainder of the requirements are listed in the attached program overview. Please ensure that all society representatives and potential candidates review the attached document.
The next step in the process is for societies to vet applicants and submit the name of the candidates, along with their CV, to Vanessa Morales at morales@ota.org by Monday, March 3, 2025. Please let me know if you are unable to meet this deadline. I will follow up with each candidate for their list of preferred institutions.2025 Confirmed Host Sites – IOTA Observership IOTA 2025 Observership Program
